After missing practice all week, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will not play against the Atlanta Falcons, head coach Jesse Minter said.

The two-time MVP injured his ankle in the second quarter of the Ravens’ Week 4 win over the Tennessee Titans.

Baltimore will also be without outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson, who is still recovering from surgery on a finger he broke in the season opener.

“Both of them feel really good,” said Minter, who implied they could return next week. He said Jackson is doing everything in his power to get back.

Without Jackson, the Ravens will run with Tyler Huntley, who last season won the No. 2 job over Cooper Rush, now a reserve with the Falcons, and earned another contract with Baltimore.

“We’ve got a ton of confidence in Snoop,” Minter said. “He’ll play really well. I think everybody on the team’s excited to see that and [for] him to have this opportunity.”

Huntley did not know he was going to take over for Jackson last week until Baltimore hit the field after halftime. He went 8-for-9 for 63 yards and rushed four times for 16 yards. The Ravens were shut out in the second half.

He has started for an injured or resting Jackson 11 times since 2021, compiling a record of 5-6.

Offensive coordinator Declan Doyle reflected on Huntley’s biggest game last season, which came against the Chicago Bears, Doyle’s team at the time.

“Snoop did a great job in that game,” Doyle said of the Ravens’ 30-16 win in Week 8. “Obviously, we came in here, the Ravens had not had a ton of success early in the season and were kind of reeling a little bit. I felt like Snoop played in that game and was kind of a rallying cry.”

Huntley had more of a heads-up this week. He found out Friday he would start.

Minter also provided updates on wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane, who has a broken wrist, and newly acquired center Cam Jurgens, who arrived in concussion protocol.

Lane has been progressing well and will be “ready to roll when the time permits.” He is eligible to return from injured reserve next week. He had an impressive preseason and tallied one catch for 11 yards in the season opener before his injury.

Jurgens is on the “tail end” of his recovery, and he’s begun the process of learning the Ravens’ offensive schemes. When he returns, he’ll likely take over for rookie guard Vega Ioane, who has been the emergency center.

“Our hope and expectation is that he’ll be really ready to rock,” Minter said.

Starting wide receiver Zay Flowers (foot), starting cornerback Marlon Humphrey (hamstring/calf) and guard Andrew Vorhees (foot) were listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report of the week. Flowers practiced all week but was limited. Vorhees practiced in a limited capacity Thursday and Friday. Humphrey practiced only Friday and was a limited participant.

The Falcons have just one player out but four players who are questionable for the game.

Linebacker Yasir Abdullah (hamstring) will not play, and starting linebacker Divine Deablo (hamstring) is questionable. Starting defensive ends Samson Ebukam (hamstring) and Za’Darius Smith (concussion/neck) are also questionable, but reserve defensive end Cameron Thomas (shoulder) is good to go. Starting left tackle Jake Matthews (groin) returned to full participation Friday but is still questionable.
