BTS fans began lining up outside M&T Bank Stadium nearly 12 hours before the Korean pop band took the stage Monday night bringing its “Arirang” World Tour to Baltimore. The BTS ARMY came from across the country — and around the world — dressed in purple, armed with freebies and ready for the long-awaited return of the K-pop superstars.

Then the weather turned wild. A tornado warning, torrential rain and thunderstorms forced fans to shelter inside the stadium and delayed the opening of general gates. But the ARMY wasn’t going anywhere. And when BTS finally took the stage, the storm was quickly forgotten. The group kicked off the show with “Hooligan,” sent the stadium into a frenzy with “IDOL” and “FAKE LOVE,” and had thousands of fans singing, dancing and waving their ARMY Bombs in a sea of purple.

💜By the end of the night, the message from BTS was clear: Baltimore “knows how to have fun.” From the first fans in line to the final songs of the night, here are some of the biggest moments from BTS’ Baltimore takeover.
